Losing Weight : Choosing the Right Option for Yourself!
As
we know losing weight can be a difficult task for a lot of people.

medications.

you have a Body Mass Index (BMI) between 30 and 35 and are having
difficulty in losing weight with just lifestyle measures you may be a
candidate for endoscopic procedures such as Intragastric balloon.
This is a procedure done by endoscopy. The balloon can be left for up
to a year if you are tolerating it and can typically help you lose
10-15 Kg weight. It is, however, a temporary procedure and you will
need to maintain the weight loss once the balloon is removed.
Then
is Bariatric surgery. If your BMI is more than 38 or more than 33
with weight-associated medical problems such as Diabetes or
Hypertension then you should consider Bariatric surgery. Bariatric
surgery is the most effective method of long-term weight loss.
Although surgery is safe and effective you need to maintain an
exercise routine and follow a healthy diet!
